Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I'm not going to knock it. It's a great spot for a quick lunch. I enjoy the food. Especially the sausage soup. Had a meeting there for lunch today. My server was great and attentive, my food was consistent as always and tasty. There's one thing that really bothered me. The food line manager that was making sure the food goes out ok had her hair down and was constantly swinging it around. Now I'm no health dept employee but I believe when you're working so closely w food that your hair really needs to be up away from it. It bothered me enough to have to make this review. Might have to reconsider my meeting spots.

Was looking for a relaxing, hearty Italian meal tonight. So off we went to a Bertucci's , we have always had an enjoyable experience . But that all changed. We sat at the bar to have a more causal experience. The staff person at the bar took our drink order and the experience deteriorate from that point. We had to ask for menus. The staff person took a refill drink order and never filled it till 10 minutes later after we politely brought it to their attention. We were sitting at the bar and had even moved the glasses to edge of the bar to prompt the staff person. No apology no nothing. Salads arrived they were satisfactory. We then saw bread being delivered to another party at the bar and asked if we may have some also. "Oh you did not get any." Come on folks get with it. Meals then show up. Simple dishes. Chicken Parma and Chicken Piccata. Wrong pasta with the Parma and both the Piccata and the Parma had been burnt black on the bottom. I asked to talk with the manager. The staff person went over to the host podium and made a reference to my physical appearance loudly so it could be heard by myself across the room. The lead person available came over after a few minutes to tell me that the manager was not available. They told me that the manager was currently cooking. I told him that they should stop because all they are doing is burning the food and showed them the burn on the Parma. Asked me what could be done I told them just fix it to what we experienced in our past visits. Refused any comp and tipped 25%, just fix it.

Our waitress Melissa was cute as a button. Just loved her! Our food was served hot and tasted delicious. Our drinks were perfect. Melissa was very attentive and we loved her gregarious personalitywe will be back !

Usually I like Bertucci's. Not so much this location. Take-out messed-up our simple order (ordered a pasta dish without one of the ingredients, it came with the ingredient.) Called, and the manager was very friendly and gave us a credit on a future visit. The pizza was good, the rolls okay. Same week we had lunch at this location. Again, the pizza was good. The salad and dressings were bland, my sandwich was hard to eat, but tasty. (Chunks of zucchini fall out of a sandwich, they should be sliced.) Service was very friendly. They recently changed their menu. I liked the previous menu's options better. (Obviously, not the specific location's fault.) Not a bad place, more a blah place.

Can not thank the staff enough for getting this place up and running during this horrid storm!!!!! We have no power at home and no restaurants near by, but Bertuccis has it going on! Same friendly staff same amazing food!!! Thank you SO much!

Really good bread to start. Love the dough for the kids to play with. Can't go wrong with anything brick oven prepared. They have my favorite spinach dip anywhere. We have one of the pickiest kids and he loves the place.

Came here for dinner and ordered a Tuscan Calzone. I was expecting it to be great but honestly looked like something I made in Food Prep back in high School! The dough was way too thick in some areas and was slightly raw/undercooked and the insides of the calzone was really runny, overly salty and way too much cheese. Overall, the taste wasn't even good. The service was great because our waitress was so sweet, but the wait time was pretty ridiculous. It wasn't even that busy. The dessert we got was fine, nothing seemed wrong with it! I probably won't come back.. would of been much better to visit a small family pizza shop in comparison to this location of this chain. Bit pricy for the quality of their food too.

Please stay away from this place. Ordered mussels. Got a warm plate with frozen mussels. They ask if I wanted something else, and I got the mozzarella sticks, then I was charged for it thinking it was complimentary. Guess not I'm never coming back here again and I will tell my friends and family the same thing.

Yum! I loved my chicken piccata, so lightly breaded and crispy, huge portions and delicious! The bread was excellent, and you get soup or salad. I loved both. Overall this is an upgrade over Olive Garden, and feels a bit more modern and fun. The cookie with ice cream was amazing!

The service was pleasant and the food was fine. It is a fine place to eat. Not the best food I ever had, but not as bad as some of these reviews.

Walked in, sat down, got up, and walked out. The floors were disgusting and the table was dirty.

I think as far as my rankings go for Italian themed chain restaurants, I would rate Bertucci's number two in between Romano's Macaroni Grille (#1) and Carrabba's (#3). I don't frequent this location often but when I have, the service has been acceptable and the food has been good. I can't say I have any go-to's on the menu but from the variety of items I have had, they were satisfactory. It's in a great location for high volume but I've never really had to wait long at all and that includes a dinner time visit. If you're in the area, I would certainly recommend this to satisfy your Italian cravings.

Place always seems packed at dinner and service is usually pretty good. Bartenders are very nice and is a good place to go for a casual drink (not cheap though). The food is hit or miss. I recommend ordering something that goes through their brick oven. The fresh rolls that come w/ your meal are hot from the oven and very good. They have lots of varieties of pizza and all are pretty good (you can even order w/ a whole wheat crust) The best thing about the food is their desserts. The chocolate cake, cheesecake and the brick oven desserts are all excellent. The reason why I am only giving the place two stars is that I have been very disappointed with their pastas and Italian dishes in general... while not horrible there are many better Italian food options in area.

During a visit to my hometown, my dad and I went to Bertucci's for lunch on my last day there. Let me just say it was the best possible way to end a vacation! The food was absolutely delicious! (I wanted to take an extra plate on the plane with me, but airports don't allow it...) The servers and managers were super friendly and very accomodating. One manager in particular, Jeff, went out of his way to make sure my dad and I were comfortable. He was very friendly and made sure his guests were well taken care of. I am so glad we chose to eat here that day. Italian is a good-mood-food, especially when it is cooked to perfection!! Thank you Bertucci's!

I'm not normally a big fan of chains but bertuccis was really good. We went for lunch and they have free refills of salad and rolls with evoo and spices! We tried all of the dressing but my personal fav was the original Italian! For our lunch my dad had the four cheese ravioli, which tasted like homemade ravioli not freezer burnt packaged crap you get at other Italian chains. My mom and I split the eggplant parm and then Tuscan vegetable Torta. The eggplant wasn't fried and it was really great. The pasta paired with it was also really great. For the torta we choose whole wheat crust which was rustic and paired perfectly with the roasted veg, Rosemary and goat cheese! I would recommend any of those entrees. For dessert we had the apple cranberry Crostada it was not too sweet and really delicious! I was pleasantly surprised with bertuccis and would highly recommend it if your near the montgomeryville mall.

Order Chicken Piccatta. Pasta was too sour and citrusy to a point that it was unedible. My wife ordered same without Pasta but with grilled chicken and broccoli. half of the plate was watery... WIll not visit again!

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner tonight and it blew Olive Garden out of the proverbial water. They start you off with four of the best rolls ever and some seasoned olive oil. I ordered eggplant pomodoro, which came with a side salad. The salad was absolutely huge and very fresh. I probably could have just had that and the bread, but I wanted to save room for my entree. We also got an appetizer of roasted vegetables, which I thought were slightly undersalted, but this is easily fixable for a person with opposable thumbs and a dream. The eggplant was perfectly cooked and came with roasted green beans. My boyfriend got chicken marsala, which he devoured. We had tiramisu for dessert. It had a slightly bitter, powdery aftertaste, which put me off a bit, but was edible. I mean, it's tiramisu. My only real complaint was the waitress. This is unkind of me, because she was a sweet girl, but she was unbearable. She started off by explaining the menu to us in excruciating detail, as though we were from another planet and had never been to a restaurant before. When she took away our appetizer, she asked us how we liked it, and when we said it was good, she persisted: "What did you like best about it?" What is this, 20 questions? I didn't come here to fill out a complete survey about my meal. I think eventually she perceived that we hadn't actually invited her on our date with us and wanted to be left alone. I'm sure her boss told her to be overly clingy like that, but it was annoying as heck. Otherwise, we had a great meal and would definitely return.

This Bertucci's is really the last place you should go to eat. I was one in a party of 15 people for a late lunch @ 2 pm. The place was somewhat empty, but we STILL had to wait. Finally, we were seated and placed our orders. We had a few people order the same soup. Some had their soup early while others had to wait. Given it's the same soup, you would think the soup would arrive at the same time. The air conditioner was blasting cold. Even after trying my dad's hot soup, I was still freezing. A few of us, even went to the car to get sweaters, jackets, fleeces. I ordered a regular cheese pizza and the service was just too slow. The crust on my pizza, as well as my sister's pizza, was totally burnt. I've read comments from others who had similar burn issues. I wouldn't recommend this particular Bertucci's unless there was no other restaurants. And even then, expect to wait for proper service.

Went to Bertucci's because all the other restaurants I went to had a 2+ hour wait....no wait here at all. Should have taken it as a sign. The service we had was awful, we asked to be seated in the bar because my boyfriend wanted to watch the college games. There were a few other people at the bar, but we were the only table. Our waitress started out fine, bringing us bread and oil (which IMO was disgusting, it left a bad taste in my mouth) but then when we wanted to order, she wasn't around, then it took a long time to get out food. By this time the other people at the bar had left, and we were the only people other then the bartender at the bar. We probably had to wait about 20 minutes from the time we finished eating until the waitress came back, and we didn't see her at all while we were eating. The bartender meanwhile starting cleaning the bar, taking out trash and everything while we were there, making me feel like we were being rushed out. There were other staff hanging out in the bar area after their shift, plus the bartender, who saw us sitting there basically twittling our thumbs, and none of them took the initiative to find our waitress for us. I probably won't be back because of the poor service, the only reason I gave it 2 stars was for the food, which was pretty good, but EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. If I'm looking for a chain Italian restaurant, I'll just go to Olive Garden or Carraba's.

This is new Bertucci's location in the parking lot of the Montgomery Mall. I'm not a huge fan of the chain but my Grandma really likes it so I end up here anyway. You normally can't go wrong with the brick oven pizza. I've eaten at this location twice since it opened. The service can be off but it's not terrible. The margherita pizza I had last week had hardly any cheese on it and it wasn't very good, but normally their pizza is fine. Maybe it was just an off day.

My husband and I went here last night with our two sons. There was not a wait and the staff was very friendly. My husband and I both got pasta and it was good but for the price of almost $14 it wasn't worth it. It didn't come with soup or salad. My portion was very small. Overall it was good but I would not go back because of the prices.

Don't waste your time and money in this place. Go to a local pizzeria and you will be better off. The rolls weren't even warm. I ordered a calzone and was so disappointed. My son ordered an individual pizza and it came burnt. Not good at all.

Pretty good food for a chain. My husband and I like their pizza and rolls. The farmhouse salad is tasty, too. It's not the BEST food in the area, but for a quick/good meal we know we won't be disappointed.
